HRS-prisen er en menneskerettighetspris som hvert år deles ut år til noen som har gjort en fortjenstfull innsats for fremme av menneskerettigheter i konteksten av et flerkulturelt samfunn. Prisen er på 25 000 kroner. HRS-prisen for 2007 ble, tirsdag i denne uken, tildelt tidligere barne- og familieminister Karita Bekkemellem og tidligere barneombud Trond-Viggo Torgersen for deres kamp mot kjønnslemlstelse av jentebarn. Her er deres respektive takketaler.
